Job summary

Power Fashion Mafikeng by Mr Price Group seeks an Assistant Store Manager to relieve the Store Manager in their absence and support daily store operations, including housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.

You will assist in staff management, cash handling, customer service, and implementing sales initiatives to reach store targets. Previous fashion retail or department management is preferred, with Matric/Grade 12 or NQF4.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 is required.
• Experience managing a department is advantageous.
• Experience in clothing retail is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Relieve the store manager in their absence.
• Maintain housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline and security.
• Assist in staff management and front-end controls.
• Oversee cash office and banking of money when needed.
• Support customer service and implement sales initiatives to hit targets.

Job Description

An Assistant Manager is accountable for relieving the Store Manager in their absence and assists in maintaining company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.

Responsibilities

Banking of money Relieve store manager Maintain company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security Ensure compliance of all company procedures Assist store manager in management of staff Ensure front end controls are in place Oversee the cash office Minimize stock loss Customer Service Introduce sales initiatives to reach store targets

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics an advantage) or NQF Level 4
• Previous experience managing a department
• Previous clothing retail experience would be highly advantageous
