Job summary

Mr Price Home Mountain Mill in Worcester is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a team, drive sales and create a vibrant shopping environment. You will support the Store Manager with daily operations, coaching, stock management and visual merchandising.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in retail, a Grade 12, and budgeting experience, with strengths in leadership and customer service. This is an on-site position in Worcester, Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Business understanding of retail trade, brand, customer & product.
• Grade 12 and 3 years' retail experience.
• Budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of store associates to deliver strong results.
• Train and coach staff to provide outstanding customer experiences.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to meet sales targets and KPI goals.
• Assist in inventory control, ordering, receiving and stock checks.
• Maintain appealing store layouts and product displays.
• Oversee daily store operations, cash handling, and safety protocols.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Assist in sales reporting and insights for improvements.
• Contribute to merchandising planning and promotional campaigns.
• Handle administrative tasks and store maintenance as needed.
