Job summary

Mr Price Home in Cresta Shopping Centre is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations and drive sales. You will mentor a team of associates, ensure outstanding customer experiences, manage stock, and collaborate with the Store Manager to execute promotions.

You will oversee cash handling, visual merchandising, and compliance with company policies while promoting a safe and engaging shopping environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certification required.
• 3 years’ experience in retail.
• Management experience is advantageous.
• Sales & service management experience is preferred.
• Budgeting experience and computer literacy are expected.
• Strong communication skills and business understanding of retail trade.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of store associates, setting clear expectations.
• Train and coach staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet sales targets and strategies.
• Assist in inventory management, stock counts, receiving, and replenishment.
• Maintain appealing store layout and product displays.
• Oversee daily store operations, cash handling, and security.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Address customer complaints and resolve operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Assist in reporting on sales, inventory, and metrics.
• Contribute to merchandising planning and promotional campaigns.
• Perform administrative duties and assist with scheduling.
• Oversee store cleanliness and overall presentation.
