Placements24 is seeking an experienced Assistant School Principal in Pretoria, Gauteng. This senior leadership role supports the School Principal in strategic direction, curriculum development, staff supervision, and student welfare to foster a positive school culture.

Responsibilities include overseeing curriculum, mentoring teachers, engaging with parents, and contributing to policy development and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership roles.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, staff management, and school administration.
• Strong understanding of educational policies, governance, and best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Relevant professional registration (e.g., SACE) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the School Principal in day-to-day administration and operational management.
• Oversee curriculum implementation, instructional quality, and academic programs to ensure high standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff, providing professional development opportunities.
• Support student discipline, welfare, and the development of a positive learning environment.
• Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and school improvement initiatives.
• Manage specific school departments or programs as assigned by the Principal.
• Liaise with parents, guardians, and the wider community, fostering strong relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational regulations and policies.
• Participate in admissions processes and student recruitment activities.
• Represent the school at external functions and meetings when required.
