Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a diligent, experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their Gauteng team. The role focuses on leading maintenance staff, planning projects, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance within a dynamic maintenance division.

The successful candidate will oversee training, budget planning, and coordination with vendors, while driving safety and efficiency across sites in the district.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and training staff.
• 5+ years of management in truck, light or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience with DOT compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair processes.
• Ability to plan, budget, schedule and supervise multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance technicians in a safe, customer-focused manner.
• Plan projects and analyze costs.
• Monitor quality programs and ensure standards conformance.
• Develop business plans and provide guidance for implementation.
• Oversee training programs and staff development.
• Allocate work to Mechanics and shop personnel.
• Maintain yard and facilities organization across locations.
• Communicate with vendors on maintenance issues and warranties.
• Assist in monthly financial projections and annual budget.
