Job summary
HotelJobs in Mpumalanga is seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager for a large resort-style property with hotel rooms and chalets. The role requires a strong hospitality maintenance background and hands-on technical expertise.
You will oversee plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems, plan maintenance operations, and coordinate outsourced cleaning and garden services. A stable track record and a Grade 12 plus electrical/maintenance qualification (N6 preferred) are essential.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 with electrical or related maintenance qualification; plumbing experience required.
- Preferably 10 years experience as Assistant Maintenance Manager in hospitality.
- Experience with pumps, water reticulation and large-scale maintenance projects.
- Experience managing outsourced cleaning and garden services.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate maintenance operations for the hotel and resort.
- Oversee electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other technical systems.
- Manage outsourced cleaning and garden services and contractor performance.
- Maintain a stable track record and adherence to safety standards.

A large property with a mix of hotel rooms and timeshare chalets seeks to employ a highly experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager with hospitality experience and meeting the following essential requirements:
- Grade 12 + Electrical or related maintenance qualification, Plumbing experience a must, N6 would be first prize
- Preferably 10 years previous experience as an Assistant Maintenance Manager in hospitality industry within a large resort styled hotel, experience with pumps,water reticulation, large scale maintenance projects along with experience with management of out-sourced cleaning and garden services would be added advantage
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc
- STABLE TRACK RECORD
