ASSISTANT GUESTHOUSE MANAGER Oude Berg Guesthouse | George, Western Cape Full-time | Non-live-in position We are looking for a qualified and experienced Assistant Guesthouse Manager to join our team and assist with the day-to-day running of an established guesthouse. This is a hands-on operational position and would suit someone who has hospitality experience, enjoys working with both guests and staff, has a good eye for detail and is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career. The Assistant Manager will work closely with and report to the owners/directors and will be responsible for helping ensure that the guesthouse runs smoothly and maintains a consistently high standard. This position is best suited to someone currently working at assistant-manager or supervisory level ; rather than an established hotel General Manager looking for a senior executive-management position.
This is a non-live-in position. Because this is a hospitality role, working hours are structured around the operational needs of the guesthouse rather than conventional office hours. The Assistant Manager will need to be available during important periods including breakfast, room inspections and guest check-ins. The position includes regular weekends off, subject to proper operational handover and planning.
Remuneration will be based on the successful candidate's relevant qualifications, hospitality experience and level of responsibility and will be discussed during the recruitment process.
