Job description

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, professional, and personalised guest service from arrival to departure.

• Assist with the daily management and smooth operation of the hotel.

• Oversee guest check-ins, check-outs, and concierge services.

• Coordinate housekeeping, maintenance, and operational requirements to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards.

• Handle guest requests and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally.

• Support reservations, administration, and reporting as required.

• Supervise staff and ensure service excellence across all departments.

• Work a flexible roster, including weekends, public holidays, and shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• SA Citizen

• Matric/Grade 12 Qualification

• A qualification in hospitality and/or guest house management highly advantageous

• Previous experience in a boutique hotel, luxury guest house, or hospitality management role.

• Proven experience delivering exceptional guest service.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Professional communication skills in English and a positive, proactive attitude.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small team.

• Comfortable working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Valid South African driver's licence.

• Own reliable transport is highly advantageous.

• Must reside in Hout Bay or the surrounding areas.
