Job summary

The Presidency in Pretoria is seeking an Assistant Director: Internal Control to strengthen financial governance and internal controls within the CFO's office. The role includes monitoring document control processes and following up on Auditor General findings to ensure timely responses and remediation.

Reporting to senior management, you will update financial policies, oversee staff, and coordinate action plans.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate + relevant degree or ND in Financial Accounting/Auditing/Risk Management (NQF level 6)
• 3–5 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Implement effective and efficient internal control systems in the office of the CFO.
• Monitor the effectiveness of document control, receiving, validation and filing of batches.
• Follow up on information requests and communications of findings issued by the Auditor General and quality-check responses.
• Maintain records of Internal Audit reviews and ensure responses are submitted.
• Compile Presidency Audit Matrix and report progress on action plans to SMS and Top Management.
