Requires Senior Certificate plus a relevant Bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma in Financial Accounting, Auditing, or Risk Management; 2–3 years accounting experience. Responsibilities include implementing controls, managing internal financial control, and liaising with auditors.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate plus Bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma in Financial Accounting/ Auditing/ Risk Management OR equivalent qualification on NQF level 6.
• A minimum of two to three years’ experience in accounting with reference to financial reporting, compliance monitoring, internal control, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing controls over access to records and maintain internal financial control within the CFO unit.
• Verify finalised BAS/LOGIS payments, journals, receipts, S & T claims, and face value forms.
• Review and update financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Oversee the departmental filing system pertaining to accounting documents.
• Liaise with auditors and ensure their recommendations are implemented.
• Collate information for responses to auditors and conduct financial inspections of policies.
