Job summary

Super Group International is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the IP and Tech Group finance function and help deliver timely reports to senior management and shareholders. You will contribute to audits, month-end activities and SOX compliance while growing your career in a dynamic, high-growth gaming company.

You’ll handle vendor onboarding, accounts payable, intercompany billings and asset management with strong Excel skills and a B.Com in financial accounting.

Qualifications

• B.Com financial accounting degree or related qualification.
• Minimum 1-3 years accounting experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in preparing variance analysis commentary.
• Experience in accounts payable or finance administration role.
• Experience in fixed / intangible asset management.

Responsibilities

• Vendor onboarding, including bank account verification call-backs.
• Maintaining vendor master data.
• Capture all invoices, accruals, and prepayments with correct postings by product, region, platform, brand and game.
• Prepare weekly payments, ensuring correct amounts and suppliers are paid.
• Process intercompany and intergroup billings.
• Record PPE & intangible asset transactions including additions and disposals.
• Run depreciation and foreign exchange processes.
• Assist with monthly FloQast reconciliations & commentary.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve financial KPIs.
• Communicate clearly at all levels and share updates with stakeholders.
• Manage expectations and address issues before escalation.
• Participate in bi-annual objective-setting and performance reviews.
• Assist with internal and external audit deliverables.
• Ensure controls are documented and implemented for SOX compliance.

As our Assistant Accountant, you’ll be supporting the delivery of all aspects of the finance function in the IP and Tech Group. This will help us excel in meeting our deadlines timeously and delivering reports to the senior management and shareholders of the organisation, to assist with their decision-making processes, enabling us to stay ahead of the game.

What You’ll Do

You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:

• Vendor onboarding, including bank account verification call-backs
• Maintaining vendor master data
• Capture all invoices, accruals, and prepayments - Ensuring all postings are correct by product, region, platform, brand and game, where appropriate.
• Prepare weekly payments, ensuring that the correct amounts and suppliers are paid.

• Ensure that all controls are adhered to, documented, and implemented for SOX compliance

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Business Central
• Experience in FloQast (Month end reconciliation tool)
• Experience in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1/Cognos
• Experience with SOX Compliance and/or Internal controls
