Job summary

Office of the Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services in Cape Town seeks an experienced Supply Chain and Asset Management specialist to drive procurement, asset control and reporting within a government framework.

You will manage stock takes, issuing and receiving heavy items, ensure audit compliance and produce monthly asset reports while leading SCM staff across the Metro region. Proficiency in LOGIS, EPS and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate with Maths and/or Accountancy or equivalent.
• Experience with Asset Management, SCM and Procurement processes.
• Experience with LOGIS, EPS and asset reporting.
• Valid Driver's licence (Code B/EB).
• Willingness to lift heavy items.
• Knowledge of PFMA, Finance Instructions and Treasury regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and asset management processes and prepare procurement documents.
• Perform asset stock takes and asset issuance/receiving.
• Provide support to supervisor and institution within Metro region.
• Manage SCM staff and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Assist with financial reporting and asset reconciliations.
• Handle SCM queries and ensure control compliance.
