The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background with 6+ years in asset integrity, strong knowledge of corrosion control and NDT, and experience with RBI methodologies. Hybrid work balances office analysis with on-site inspections.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Asset Integrity Engineer to join their team in Mahikeng . This hybrid role focuses on ensuring the mechanical integrity and reliability of all physical assets within their oil and gas facilities. You will develop and implement inspection, testing, and maintenance strategies to prevent failures and ensure operational safety. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of materials science, corrosion control, and various NDT methods. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to operational excellence and safety, with a flexible work arrangement that balances office-based analysis with necessary on-site inspections.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive asset integrity management plans.
• Oversee inspection and testing programs for critical equipment, pipelines, and structures.

• Investigate equipment failures and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of materials degradation mechanisms, corrosion control, and NDT techniques.
• Experience with risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, including site visits and remote data analysis.
