Job summary

Fidelity Services Group seeks an experienced armed response shift supervisor to manage deployment of armed response vehicles and assist with alarm activations. You will oversee the operational functioning of a shift and ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately.

Requirements include Matric, a valid driver’s license, firearm competency, PSIRA Grade B, a clear criminal record, and at least 3 years of armed response experience.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Valid Firearm Competency for business purposes required.
• PSIRA Registration Grade B with Armed Response required.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Minimum 3 years armed response experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle all shift administration (equipment and vehicle checks; stock management; vehicle servicing; accidents).
• Supervise Reaction Officers on shift; manage deployments and overtime.
• Respond to alarm activations; take over incident scenes to allow AR to manage other calls.
• Liaise with clients as required; ensure training files up to date (Reg 21 & Driver refresher).
• Follow up on staff concerns (discipline; leave; pay queries; investigations).
• Ensure Biometrics is actioned on each shift and perform adhoc tasks as required by the Manager.

Job Specifications

• Deployments, manage open areas; overtime etc;
• Issuing and controlling of firearms on a shift,
• Permits; ensuring correct completion of register;
• Respond to alarm activations;
• Take over incident scenes, to allow AR to manage other calls;
• Liaising with clients as required
• Ensure training files (Reg 21 & Driver refresher documents, FAMS / Flash files, etc) is up to date.
• Follow up on staff concerns (discipline; leave; pay queries; investigations; sick/absent notes or leave forms and other tasks that may be required)
• Ensure Biometrics is actioned on each shift.
• Adhoc functions as per the Manager (in line with area goals)
