Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across our South Africa client base in Gqeberha, East London and Bloemfontein. You will manage customer relationships, coach a sales team and push for revenue targets while ensuring profitability and service excellence.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in FMCG sales, strong commercial acumen, and proven leadership. Travel and flexible hours are required to meet customers and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed.
• Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Commerce or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years' sales experience in an FMCG environment.
• Computer literacy.
• People management experience and ability to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Drive sales volumes, revenue targets and profitability.
• Manage, coach and mentor sales team members.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare reports and conduct business reviews.
• Coordinate with internal sales to ensure accurate and timely quotations.
• Ensure customer requirements, product specifications and pricing are met.
• Monitor stock levels and support on-time, in-full delivery targets.
• Implement price increases and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Travel as required and remain available to customers outside normal working hours.
