Job summary

Recruitpro Solutions in South Africa seeks a senior Electrical Engineering Operations Manager in the Northern Cape mining sector. You will coordinate subordinates, manage performance, and ensure SLA targets are met.

The role requires a strong technical background, flameproof and gas testing qualifications, and solid knowledge of mining legislation. You will attend client meetings, design cost-saving service strategies, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' managerial experience within a mining environment.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Trade Test in Electrical Engineering included.
• Flameproof and Gas Testing qualification required.
• Grade 12 or higher as minimum educational qualification.
• Valid driver's license and own transport.
• Own accommodation in the Northern Cape area.
• Computer literate.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of mining legislation (OHS Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, Minerals Act, Environmental Legislation Act)
• Understanding of the Labour Relations Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act
• Knowledge of engineering codes of practice within coal and hard rock operations in SA
• Up-to-date knowledge of electrical/electronic engineering practices and technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and engage with clients at management level
