Job summary

Santam is seeking a Senior Crop Insurance Area Manager to assume overall responsibility for growth and profitability in the designated area, maintaining strong client contact and delivering high-quality service.

You will lead area relationships, attend meetings, and drive profitability through direct sales and intermediary channels, while coordinating with regional teams on strategy and market intelligence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ specialised crop experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify new potential clients/intermediaries and gather market intelligence.
• Provide input into broker business by sharing analyses and managing intermediary clients’ prospect list.
• Preparing and delivering quotes (direct and through intermediary).
• Grow the portfolio through direct sales and through intermediaries.
• Execute relationship management with intermediaries and clients.
• Attend meetings with intermediaries to discuss performance statistics and growth.
• Understand opportunities in the area and client segmentation.

Education

Grade 12

H Dip degree in Agriculture

FAIS compliance

Commercial and Personal Lines and RE a preference

Driver’s licence
