Job summary

Mayfly Agri in South Africa seeks a driven sales/technical trainer to support agrochemical distributors and farmers. The role involves managing regional sales budgets, promoting product distribution, and delivering technical training with a focus on improving crop production through trials and data-driven insights.

The candidate should have hands-on farming and trial experience, a strong network, and excellent communication skills to present findings at farmers' days.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture preferred.
• CropLife (AVCASA) and/or BASOS certifications required.
• 2–7 years' hands-on experience working with farmers, managing/conducting trials and providing sales support.
• Strong network of farmers, dealers and distributors is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on goals without close supervision.
• Must have experience in providing technical training.
• Updated with new agricultural techniques, trends and practices.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Making recommendations to farmers to help achieve efficient crop production.
