About the Role Our client, a forward-thinking architectural practice based in Benoni, Gauteng , is seeking an imaginative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer with a strong passion for sustainable design. This role is pivotal in conceptualizing and developing innovative architectural solutions that prioritize environmental responsibility and energy efficiency. You will work closely with senior architects and project managers on a variety of exciting projects, contributing your unique vision to high-profile developments. Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts and designs, with a focus on sustainable principles and green building technologies.
• Produce high-quality design presentations, including sketches, renderings, and physical models.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed architectural drawings and specifications for tender and construction.
• Research and specify sustainable materials, systems, and technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers and consultants to integrate sustainable strategies effectively.
• Participate in client meetings and design workshops to present and refine design proposals.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and research in sustainable architecture and building performance.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and sustainability certifications (e.g., Green Star).

Requirements

• A professional degree in Architecture.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) as an Architectural Designer, with a portfolio showcasing sustainable design projects.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
• A strong understanding of sustainable design principles, green building materials, and energy-efficient strategies.
• Familiarity with sustainability rating systems (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
• Excellent conceptual design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Strong graphic presentation and communication skills.
