Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Designer for a renowned Richards Bay studio to contribute to concept development, schematic design, and detailed documentation across commercial, industrial, and marine projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Architecture, 1–3 years of experience, strong visualization, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite; coastal context emphasis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in architectural design, preferably in an architectural practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of architectural concepts and schematic designs.
• Produce high-quality architectural drawings, sketches, and 3D models for design presentations.
• Support senior architects in design development and construction documentation.
• Research materials, building technologies, and design trends relevant to projects.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure design integrity and coherence throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas and solutions.
• Assist with site analysis and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with consultants for interdisciplinary design coordination.
• Maintain design records and assist in preparing design reports.
• Stay updated with building codes and local regulations in KwaZulu-Natal.
