About the Role

Our client, a distinguished architectural practice headquartered in Pretoria , is seeking an experienced Architectural BIM Manager to oversee and optimize their Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. This crucial role involves managing BIM standards, workflows, and technologies across all projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange among project teams. The BIM Manager will play a key part in enhancing design quality, improving project efficiency, and driving innovation through advanced digital tools. This position offers the chance to work on a variety of significant projects within Pretoria, Gauteng , and to contribute to the firm's technological advancement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep technical understanding of BIM software and a proven ability to implement and manage BIM strategies effectively in a professional architectural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for the architectural department.
• Manage and support the use of BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and related technologies across projects.

• Establish and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Professional registration with SACAP is advantageous.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years focused on BIM implementation and management.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and best practices.
• Experience in developing and managing BIM Execution Plans.
• Familiarity with various project delivery methods and their BIM implications.
• Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with computational design tools and scripting is a plus.
• Knowledge of South African architectural practices and regulations.
