Job summary

Hospitality & Outdoor in Cape Town, Western Cape, is seeking a hands-on Aparthotel Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping, guide the team and ensure guest apartments and public areas meet high standards. The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and strong guest-service focus.

Responsibilities include planning schedules, inspecting rooms, coordinating with reception, and training staff.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, lodge, guesthouse, aparthotel or similar environment.
• Supervisory or team‑lead experience in housekeeping will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of room inspections, cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping across guest apartments, public areas and operational spaces.
• Plan cleaning schedules according to arrivals, departures and occupancy levels.
• Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness, presentation and maintenance standards.
• Allocate duties and guide housekeeping attendants throughout each shift.
• Monitor linen, guest amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain stock levels.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and room discrepancies promptly.
• Work closely with reception to ensure apartments are ready for arriving guests.
• Train new housekeeping staff and assist with onboarding.
