You should have a strong portfolio, be proficient in Maya, Blender, After Effects, and collaborate closely with directors and art teams to achieve vivid, polished animation that meets project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Animator with a strong portfolio across styles.
• Proficiency in Maya, Blender, After Effects or similar software.
• Solid understanding of timing, spacing, anticipation, squash/stretch.
• Strong artistic skills including drawing, character design, composition.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 2D or 3D animations for various projects, adhering to project specifications and style guides.
• Develop storyboards, animatics, and character rigs to support the animation process.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and imaginative Animator to join their creative production studio in Upington . You will be responsible for bringing characters, objects, and environments to life through various animation techniques, contributing to projects across film, television, advertising, and digital media. This role requires a strong understanding of animation principles, exceptional artistic skills, and proficiency in industry-standard animation software. You will work closely with directors, art directors, and other animators to develop compelling visual narratives and ensure the highest quality of animation output, enhancing the visual storytelling for our client's diverse range of projects.
