About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Senior Animator to join their innovative Arts & Entertainment studio in Centurion . In this role, you will be responsible for bringing characters, objects, and environments to life through compelling and technically proficient animation. You will play a key part in the visual storytelling of our projects, working closely with directors, art leads, and other animators to achieve the desired artistic and narrative outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned animator to contribute their expertise to cutting-edge productions and influence the quality and style of animated content within a collaborative and forward-thinking team in Centurion .

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, complex character and object animations for various entertainment mediums.
• Collaborate with directors and art leads to interpret and execute animation direction and style guides.
• Rig characters and objects as needed, ensuring functionality and artistic fidelity.
• Optimize animation sequences for performance and technical requirements across different platforms.
• Provide guidance and feedback to junior animators, promoting skill development and maintaining animation quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to animation production pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional animation experience, with a significant portion in a senior capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in 2D or 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, After Effects).
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional character animation, performance, and timing.
• Understanding of anatomy, physics, and principles of motion to create realistic or stylized animation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and respond constructively to feedback.
