Job summary

impact.com is seeking a Mid-Level Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain our Android application. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to create a high-quality, user-friendly app that meets customer needs.

You will collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs, optimize performance, and stay current with Android development trends while delivering clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional Android development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and libraries.
• Good understanding of responsive UI/UX principles.
• Familiarity with version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Your Role at impact.com:

As a Mid-Level Android Developer at Impact.com, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our Android application. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, our product manager, designer, and fellow developers, to create a high-quality, user-friendly apps that meet the needs of our customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with our tech lead, product manager and designer to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain our Android application so that it adheres to best practices and deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following coding standards and guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the development team.
• Debug and resolve issues and bugs identified by QA and end-users, providing timely solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies, and actively incorporate them into projects.
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across various devices and Android versions.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of professional experience in Android app development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin programming.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and web services integration.
• Familiarity with responsive UI/UX principles.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
