impact.com is seeking a mid-level infrastructure engineer to join the Shared Services and Infrastructure team in Cape Town. You will design, deploy, and operate platform-layer infrastructure including Kubernetes, VPCs, and storage, writing production-grade Java code for infrastructure abstractions.
You will work with senior engineers to scale capabilities across 600+ product engineers. Experience with cloud deployments, Linux, and IaC tools like Terraform and Argo CD is essential.

You’ll join the Shared Services and Infrastructure team as we scale the platform layer to support 600+ product engineers. Right now, the infrastructure that powers everything - Kubernetes clusters, VPCs, compute, storage, shared services - is the single point of failure for every developer-facing capability the platform team builds. You’ll be a core contributor to designing, deploying and operating that substrate. You’ll write production-quality Java code, own implementation of infrastructure abstractions, operate mission-critical systems, and work alongside senior engineers to continuously improve how the platform scales. This is solid mid-level infrastructure engineering work: enough ownership to move the needle, enough guidance to keep growing.
At impact.com, we believe that when you're happy and fulfilled, you do your best work. That's why we've built a benefits package that supports your well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
