Job summary

SGS is seeking a skilled laboratory technician to perform routine analytical techniques in Sample Preparation and Fire Assay. You will receive, weigh, dry, crush, and prepare samples, ensuring turnaround times and quality.

Responsibilities include reporting production figures, following ISO17025 and SANAS requirements, and rotating across departments. A Grade 12 with Math and Science and at least 3 years in a chemistry lab are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an analytical chemistry laboratory.
• Knowledge of measurement, preparation, fluxing, and fusing of samples is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples with security guard verification and sign the waybill.
• Perform weighing, drying, crushing, and sample preparation per client instructions.
