SGS in Rustenburg is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our analytical team. You will log received samples into SLIMS, perform analyses with the correct procedures, print labels, and ensure samples are sorted before labeling and boxing.

You will report results within the required timeframes, adhere to all quality directives, operate laboratory instrumentation, assist with audits, and maintain a safe, orderly workplace in compliance with ISO17025.

Qualifikationen

• BTech or National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent recognized by RPL.
• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.

Aufgaben

• Log received samples into SLIMS using client work orders.
• Analyze analytical samples using the correct procedures and methods.
• Print sample labels.
• Sort samples correctly before labeling and boxing them.
• Report results within the specified time frame.
• Follow all quality, health and safety rules and regulations.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation.
• Bring any problems to the attention of the Chemist.
• Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system.
• Assist with training of employees where required.
• Perform and ensure good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
• Participate in monthly stock counts within the department.
