Rheinmetall Denel Munition is seeking an Analytical Chemist Intern to support laboratory operations and analytical testing within its production environment. The intern will assist with routine & non-routine analyses, laboratory administration, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role provides practical experience in analytical chemistry, laboratory quality management, and production support within a regulated industrial setting.

Qualifications

• B Tech/BSc in Analytical Chemistry or NQF 7 equivalent.
• Deadline oriented and able to multitask.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and independent.
• Strong analytical skills.

• Good planning and attention to detail.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine laboratory analyses to support production.
• Assist with laboratory administration and coordination with plant personnel.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality and safety procedures.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and proper waste management.
• Support calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
• Assist with data interpretation and preparation of reports.
• Liaise with suppliers when required.
• Support interpretation of analytical results.
