Placements24 in Centurion invites an Analytical Chemist to join our R&D/QA facility. You will develop, validate analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples and finished products, and ensure data integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, at least 3 years of pharma/chemical analysis, hands-on use of HPLC, GC, MS and spectroscopy, GLP compliance, and strong data reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical analysis.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation and GLP knowledge.
• Experience with method development and validation procedures.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Analytical Chemist to join their research and development facility in Centurion . This role is essential for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods to characterize raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various analytical techniques and a meticulous approach to data management and reporting. This position requires hands‑on laboratory work and a commitment to scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC , GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
• Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, ensuring calibration and performance.
• Investigate and troubleshoot analytical method deviations and out-of-specification results.
• Prepare detailed analytical reports and maintain accurate laboratory records in compliance with GLP .
• Collaborate with R&D and quality assurance teams to support product development and release.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical analysis.
