Qualifications

  • Experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
  • Proficient in structural repair techniques for various aircraft types.
  • Experience with NDT methods such as eddy current, ultrasonic, or dye penetrant testing is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and structural repair manuals.
  • Skilled in metal fabrication, composite repair, and riveting techniques.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Aircraft Structures Technician to join their esteemed aviation maintenance facility in Rustenburg . This position is integral to maintaining the structural integrity of aircraft, ensuring they meet rigorous safety and performance standards. You will be responsible for the repair, modification, and inspection of aircraft airframes and associated structures, working with a variety of advanced materials and techniques within a dedicated team environment in the North West province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect aircraft primary and secondary structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue using visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
  • Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft airframes, wings, fuselage, and tail sections according to approved technical data and repair schemes.
  • Fabricate and fit structural components using various materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and steel.
  • Read and interpret structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure all structural work is completed to the highest quality standards and complies with aviation regulatory requirements.
