Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic in Nelspruit to maintain the structural integrity and airworthiness of aircraft. You will inspect, repair and fabricate structural components using sheet metal and composites, while following engineering drawings and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience, strong reading and interpretation skills, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Aircraft Structures Mechanic or related sheet metal/composite fabrication role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Skilled in sheet metal repair techniques, including forming, riveting and sealing.
Experience with composite materials is highly desirable.
Understanding of aviation structural integrity principles and safety practices.
Trade qualification in aircraft structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue using visual inspection techniques and specialized equipment.
Perform repairs and modifications to structural components according to approved data and engineering drawings.
Fabricate new structural parts using sheet metal, composites, or other relevant materials.
Perform riveting, sealing, bonding, and other assembly processes for structural repairs.
Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, procedures and aviation regulations.
Document all maintenance and repair actions in the aircraft logbook and maintenance records.
