About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance team in Klerksdorp. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the structural integrity of aircraft by performing inspections, repairs, and modifications to the airframe and its components. This position requires precision, a strong understanding of materials and fabrication techniques, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards in the South African aviation sector. You will work with a variety of aircraft types, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and manufacturer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, cracks, and fatigue using visual, non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.


• Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft structures, including sheet metal work, composite repairs, and component replacements.


• Read and interpret engineering drawings, structural repair manuals, and technical specifications.


• Fabricate, fit, and install structural components according to approved data.


• Ensure all structural maintenance activities comply with SACAA regulations and OEM standards.


• Maintain meticulous records of all repairs, modifications, and inspections performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or a related field.
