About the Role

Our client, a prominent global aviation services provider, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Aircraft Performance Analyst to join their remote team. This role is fundamental to optimizing flight operations by analyzing aircraft performance data to enhance fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and improve operational safety and economics. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze aircraft performance data from flight recorders, operational logs, and other sources.
• Develop and refine algorithms and models to accurately predict and assess aircraft performance, including fuel burn, climb rates, and descent profiles.
• Identify opportunities for fuel efficiency improvements and cost reduction through detailed performance analysis.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to flight operations and fuel consumption.
• Collaborate with flight operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement performance-enhancing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company sustainability goals through performance optimization.
• Conduct regular reviews of flight plans and operational procedures to recommend adjustments for improved efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on aircraft performance analysis and recommendations for management and operational teams.
• Stay updated on advancements in aircraft technology, performance monitoring techniques, and relevant industry best practices.
• Maintain and improve the integrity and accuracy of the data analysis systems and methodologies used.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft performance analysis, flight operations analysis, or a similar data-intensive role within the aviation industry.
• Strong understanding of aerodynamics, aircraft systems, and flight mechanics.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar.
• Experience with flight data analysis software and techniques.
• Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with aviation regulations and environmental standards is a plus.
• Must be eligible to work remotely for a company operating in Polokwane, Limpopo.
