Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Performance Analyst for a fully remote position. The role focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing flight data to optimize fuel efficiency, safety, and operational performance from a home location.

Ideal candidates have a strong quantitative background, expert data analysis skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting. Flight dynamics knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in aircraft performance analysis or flight data analysis.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R or MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Analyze flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) information to assess aircraft performance.
• Develop and refine methodologies for calculating fuel burn, thrust settings, and other performance metrics.
• Identify trends and anomalies in flight data that may indicate performance degradation or safety concerns.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to airlines and operators for improving fuel efficiency and reducing operational costs.
• Collaborate with engineering and flight operations teams to validate findings and implement performance enhancements.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings and recommendations.
• Stay current with advancements in aircraft performance analysis techniques and technologies.
• Maintain a high level of data integrity and confidentiality.
