Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician for their Midrand-based team. The role focuses on ensuring airworthiness through meticulous inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance, contributing to flight safety and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have proven maintenance experience, valid SA-CAT certifications, and the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician with valid certifications (e.g., SA-CAT).
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various aircraft types according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections, diagnose malfunctions, and perform repairs on airframe, engine, and avionics systems.
• Document maintenance actions accurately in aircraft logbooks and maintenance records system.
• Collaborate with flight crews and operations teams to ensure timely aircraft turnaround and readiness.
