Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic for its Line Maintenance team in Queenstown, South Africa. The role focuses on ensuring airworthiness through routine checks, inspections, and minor repairs, enabling safe and efficient operations between flights.

The ideal candidate brings proven line maintenance experience, strong systems knowledge, and the ability to read manuals and schematics. A commitment to aviation safety and SA certification/licensing is essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Aircraft Mechanic in line maintenance.
Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, landing gear, and avionics.
Able to read manuals and aircraft schematics; proficient with diagnostic tools.
Must hold relevant certifications and licenses for aircraft maintenance in South Africa.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled line maintenance checks, inspections, and servicing on aircraft.
Diagnose and rectify aircraft system malfunctions and defects as they arise.
Carry out minor repairs and component replacements as needed to ensure airworthiness.
Interpret maintenance manuals, technical instructions, and regulatory requirements.
Document all maintenance activities accurately in the aircraft logbooks and maintenance system.
Liaise with flight crews and operations personnel regarding aircraft status and required maintenance.
