Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician in Polokwane to maintain the fleet of ground support vehicles and equipment used for aircraft operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on GSE such as tugs and loaders.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, reads technical manuals, and prioritizes safety and quality in a dynamic airport

Qualificações

• Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or related field.
• 2–3 years' experience maintaining/heavy equipment or GSE.
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems.

About the Role

This role is essential for maintaining the fleet of ground support vehicles and equipment that are vital for aircraft operations, including tugs, baggage loaders, de-icing units, and specialized maintenance platforms. You will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of this complex mechanical and hydraulic equipment, ensuring its reliability and safety. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy vehicle or equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
