Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join a forward-thinking remote team in South Africa. You will design, develop, test, and certify complex electrical power and distribution systems for aircraft, from concept through production, while ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, at least six years of aerospace experience, and strong modeling skills with SPICE or PSCAD.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related aerospace field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems design.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC power systems, wiring, connectors and protection.
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools (SPICE, PSCAD).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aircraft electrical power generation, distribution, and control systems.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and component specifications for electrical systems.
• Perform analysis and simulations to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical with other aircraft components.
