Placements24 is seeking an Aircraft Dispatcher to join the Queenstown operations team. The role focuses on safe and efficient flight planning, weather assessment, fuel calculation, and clear communication with crews and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring knowledge of meteorology, navigation, and aviation regulations, with strong decision-making and use of flight planning software to support day-to-day airline operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Aircraft Dispatcher license or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience as an Aircraft Dispatcher or in a related flight operations role.
• Strong knowledge of meteorology, navigation, and aviation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare flight schedules, considering weather, air traffic, and aircraft availability.
• Calculate fuel requirements, payload, and performance data for each flight.
• Monitor weather conditions and ATC information, providing updates to flight crews.
• Issue flight plans and ensure all regulatory documentation is complete and accurate.
• Communicate with flight crews, ground operations, and maintenance personnel.
• Respond to operational irregularities and emergencies, adjusting flight plans as needed.
