Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aircraft Dispatcher to join our flight operations team in Welkom. You will be responsible for flight planning, monitoring weather conditions, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations to guarantee safe and efficient operations from gate to gate.

The role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment under pressure, and thorough knowledge of meteorology, navigation, aerodynamics, and aircraft systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Aircraft Dispatcher license or equivalent certification.
• Demonstrated experience in flight operations or dispatch roles within the aviation sector.
• Strong knowledge of meteorology, navigation, aerodynamics, and aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file flight plans, considering weather, airspace restrictions, and aircraft performance.
• Monitor flight progress, weather conditions, and operational status throughout the flight duration.
• Communicate effectively with flight crews, providing updates on operational changes and critical information.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant aviation regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Manage and update flight schedules and operational logs accurately.
• Liaise with ground operations, maintenance, and regulatory bodies as needed.
