Key Responsibilities

• Control and direct air traffic movements within assigned airspace, including ground control, tower control, and approach control.

• Communicate effectively with pilots via radio telephony, providing crucial flight information and updates.
• Coordinate air traffic flow with adjacent control sectors and other air traffic service units.
• Manage emergency situations and provide assistance to aircraft in distress.
• Maintain accurate records of air traffic activities and incidents.
• Ensure continuous compliance with Air Traffic Service (ATS) regulations and operational procedures.
• Participate in simulator training and proficiency checks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of air traffic control services.

Requirements

• Valid Air Traffic Controller License issued by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) or equivalent international certification.
• Relevant ratings for tower and approach control.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Air Traffic Controller in an operational environment.
• Thorough knowledge of air traffic control procedures, regulations, and aviation terminology.
