Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Air Traffic Control Specialist to join our client’s operations in Centurion, Gauteng. You will monitor radar, direct aircraft, and communicate with pilots to maintain safe, orderly air traffic and respond swiftly to emergencies.

You must hold a valid ATC license, have at least 3 years of experience, and possess excellent English. The role offers a flexible hybrid model combining on-site control duties with remote administrative tasks and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Valid Air Traffic Controller License and relevant certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in air traffic control operations.
• Proven ability to manage complex air traffic scenarios.
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, with clear articulation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage air traffic within designated airspace using radar and communication systems.
• Provide clear and concise instructions to pilots for takeoff, landing, and en-route navigation.
• Ensure the safe separation of aircraft, adhering to strict control procedures.
• Coordinate with other air traffic control facilities and relevant aviation authorities.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and unusual situations, maintaining situational awareness.
• Continuously assess weather conditions and their impact on air traffic.
• Operate and maintain air traffic control equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all air traffic control activities.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and operational protocols.
