MRI Software is seeking an AI Solutions Consultant to lead and drive the hands‑on adoption of artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced productivity tools across our Professional Services organization. As a hands‑on AI expert, you will leverage proven, real‑world AI experience to identify high‑impact opportunities, improve delivery efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate project outcomes. Utilizing cutting‑edge AI technologies—such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, OpenAI, and Power Platform—you will combine deep technical expertise and problem‑solving abilities to design, build, and deploy practical, enterprise‑grade AI solutions that transform global project delivery. Please note, this position is required to work in accordance with U.S. hours (EST) 8:30am‑5:00pm (EST) as well as working South African Public Holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI & Automation Development Design and build practical, enterprise AI‑powered solutions, Copilot agents, and custom workflows using Microsoft technologies. Develop and test proof‑of‑concepts, pilots, and reusable accelerators using emerging AI tools to reduce delivery effort.

  • Delivery Optimization Analyze delivery processes to engineer AI and automation solutions for high‑friction manual tasks. Enhance project documentation, requirements gathering, testing, and reporting through target AI integrations (e.g., SOW and project management automation).

  • Technical Innovation Evaluate emerging AI models, LLMs, and retrieval‑based solutions (RAG) to recommend practical adoption strategies. Integrate generative AI and AI‑assisted development tools directly into existing professional services workflows.

  • Knowledge Management Document AI solution architectures, design patterns, and enterprise best practices. Develop internal AI knowledge repositories to drive global consistency.

  • Training & Enablement Educate and mentor consultants and project teams on prompt engineering and effective AI tool usage. Deliver interactive demonstrations, workshops, and enablement sessions on practical AI use cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • Proven, hands‑on experience building, configuring, or deploying AI solutions (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Large Language Models, or prompt engineering).

  • 3+ years of overall experience in software development, consulting, automation, or technical delivery.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, or equivalent enterprise workflow automation tools.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience building functional chatbots, Copilot agents, or custom LLM‑powered applications using Microsoft Copilot Studio or Azure AI.

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and REST services for connecting AI models to enterprise software.

  • Experience with SQL, data manipulation, and structured/unstructured data processing for AI pipelines.

  • Prior experience in Professional Services environments or enterprise software implementation.

  • Proven success collaborating across global teams.
