Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an AI Junior to Intermediate Project Manager in Cape Town for a 12-month contract. You will coordinate AI workstreams, manage governance packs and reporting, and track milestones, risks and value realisation to ensure alignment with the roadmap.

The role requires 2-5 years in project or programme management, experience with Agile/SAFe, and strong skills in reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in project or programme management.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
• Exposure to technology or digital projects.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.
• Experience with reporting and dashboard development.
• Strong meeting facilitation skills.
• Good stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrated programme plans across multiple AI workstreams.
• Track milestones across all AI workstreams.
• Follow up on actions, risks and dependencies.
• Ensure all programme activities remain aligned to the roadmap.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops and programme events.
• Prepare governance packs and meeting materials.
• Track AI Governance Board decisions.
• Capture actions and decisions from Steering Committee meetings.
• Produce weekly and monthly status reports.
• Support ExCo and Board reporting preparation.
• Maintain a central inventory of AI use cases.
• Track AI use case progress and delivery milestones.
• Monitor business owners and delivery owners.
• Ensure value metrics are captured and reported.
• Coordinate rollout activities across squads.
• Track adoption metrics.
• Maintain implementation dashboards.
• Monitor training completion and participation.
• Support Front Runner squad execution tracking.
• Liaise with Technology, HR, Architecture, Security, Data and Business stakeholders.
• Coordinate programme communications.
• Schedule forums and governance sessions.
• Drive action follow-ups and escalation management.
• Maintain programme dashboards.
• Produce executive-ready status summaries.
• Track programme KPIs.
• Support value realisation reporting.
• Track adoption, training and capability metrics.
• Draft programme communications.
• Support awareness campaigns.
• Coordinate leadership briefings.
• Maintain programme documentation and knowledge repositories.
