Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled AI/ML Data Engineer to join the Randburg analytics team. You will design and optimize robust data pipelines that feed AI/ML models, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and cost-efficient storage.

You will collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers, work with large datasets, and contribute to a scalable data infrastructure that supports rapid model development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven Data Engineer experience supporting AI/ML initiatives.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing.
• Programming in Python or Scala.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain scalable data management systems.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for AI/ML model training and production.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for data consumers.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
• Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost-efficiency.
