Job summary

Datonomy Solutions in South Africa is seeking an hands-on AI Engineer to design, build and deploy secure AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI within a complex enterprise environment.

You will develop AI-powered agents, integrate with enterprise systems via APIs, optimize RAG pipelines, and ensure security and governance while mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Studio or Azure OpenAI.
• Proven experience building and deploying Generative AI, AI agent or conversational AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of RAG, prompt engineering, model evaluation and tuning.
• Development experience using Python and REST APIs.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with SQL, data lakes, APIs or graph databases.
• Knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD, Azure DevOps and Agile delivery practices.
• Understanding of Azure security services, including RBAC, managed identities and Key Vault.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
