Agentic AI Engineer

Are you passionate about turning artificial intelligence into practical business value?

Our client is seeking an innovative and commercially minded Agentic AI Engineer to play a pivotal role in embedding AI across the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of AI adoption, designing intelligent solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.

This is not a traditional machine learning research role. Instead, you'll focus on implementing and integrating AI technologies that transform the way people work, leveraging tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Claude and agentic AI frameworks to automate workflows, optimise business processes and unlock new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI agents and intelligent workflow solutions.
• Drive AI adoption across business functions by identifying high-impact use cases.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems using APIs and modern architecture.
• Develop AI-powered knowledge management, workflow automation and commercial intelligence solutions.
• Apply predictive analytics, process optimisation and digital twin modelling to improve business performance.
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable AI solutions.
• Ensure AI solutions are secure, governed and aligned with responsible AI principles.
• Measure and demonstrate the business impact and ROI of AI initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience implementing AI, automation or intelligent business solutions within a commercial environment.
• Strong software engineering and systems integration experience, including APIs and modern application architecture.
• Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Claude, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG and AI agents.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud-based AI platforms.
• A commercially focused problem solver who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
