Job summary

Headhunters seeks a seasoned financial professional with a strong background in auditing, AI integration in finance, and leadership of a small finance team. You will oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close, manage statutory reporting and audits, treasury activities, taxation, and management reporting to drive strategic financial insights.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Comm (Hons) with CA/CIMA, 8+ years in related industries, and a proven track record of problem solving and cost management.

Qualifications

• B.Comm (Hons) with CA/CIMA or similar.
• 8+ years financial experience in auditing, technology, FMCG, retail or similar industry.
• High impact self-starting individual, resourceful and solution-driven.
• Proven track record of AI incorporation in a financial environment.
• Creative in problem solving and financial decision making, able to model different outcomes for stakeholders.
• Experience in managing and influencing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent financial acumen with revenue and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Review financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Create and manage the ongoing production of a financial information pack to deliver financial insights and strategic support to key stakeholders.
• Manage subscriptions profitability, client billing, and revenue recognition processes to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Continually seek to enhance operational processes and reporting.
• Responsible for the statutory reporting and consolidation across relevant entities.
• Responsible for the planning, supporting and management of the annual audits of all relevant entities.
• Working Capital Management
• Multi-Currency Cashflow Planning
• Manage the Accounts Payable function
• Manage the Accounts Receivable function
• Initiate Weekly Payment Runs
• Maintain strong cash flow management and forecasting, with focus on cost efficiency.
• Oversee the organisation's tax compliance requirements and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Manage and coordinate VAT, EMP201/EMP501 reconciliations, Corporation Tax, Withholding Tax
• Manage a small team of financial analysts.
• Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance department including budgeting and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
