Job summary

rag-talent is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to bridge traditional BI with AI-driven automation in a fintech context. You will design automated AI workflows, write complex SQL queries and Python scripts for data transformation, and craft interactive dashboards for cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and API-driven automation, with hybrid remote work options and a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and business impact.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in a quantitative field (data science, CS, finance, etc).
• 5+ years in data analytics/BI or similar roles.
• Experience with AI agents, LLM integrations, or automated workflows.
• Strong SQL (PostgreSQL) and Python for data transformation and analysis.
• Proficiency with Power Query/Power Pivot and data modelling.
• Experience with Docker, APIs, and GitHub workflows.
• Excellent English and Afrikaans communication.

Responsibilities

• Construct, deploy, and manage automated AI workflows and LLM integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
• Design, execute, and optimise PostgreSQL SQL queries and Python scripts for data transformation.
• Build, maintain, and refine interactive BI dashboards and reporting solutions for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies, agent frameworks, and RAG architectures with evaluation protocols.
• Perform advanced data modeling and analytics with Power Query/Power Pivot.
• Configure and maintain integration components using containerisation, APIs, and version control.
